Preheat the oven to 200C/400F.
Toss tomatoes and onion with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and oregano in an oven-safe skillet or baking dish.
Nestle the chicken into the tomatoes and onions and coat lightly with the seasoned oil.
Bake until the chicken is cooked through and the tomatoes are saucy (200C/400F).
Rest for a few minutes, then spoon the tomatoes and onions over the chicken to serve.
