Finely chop the tomato and basil and mix them in a bowl with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and black pepper.
Slice the bread and brush lightly with olive oil.
Toast the bread in the oven at 180C/356F until crisp.
Rub the warm toasted bread with garlic.
Place a slice of prosciutto on each piece of bread.
Top with the tomato basil mixture and serve immediately.
