Rinse the buckwheat, add it to a small saucepan with water, bring to a boil, then cook over low heat for 12 to 15 minutes until tender.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet, add the beef patties, and cook until browned and cooked through on both sides.
Slice the onion and cook it in the same skillet for 4 to 5 minutes until soft and lightly golden.
Serve the buckwheat with the beef patties and onion, then season with salt and black pepper.
