Prepare the proteins by dicing the chicken and cleaning the shrimp.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and black pepper, and sear until golden and almost cooked through.
Add the shrimp and minced garlic to the pan with the chicken.
Sauté everything together until the shrimp are pink and opaque and the chicken is fully cooked.
