Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper and sear in cooking oil for 6 minutes per side, then remove.
Cook mushrooms and garlic in the same pan for 5 minutes.
Add rice and chicken broth, simmer for 15 minutes, then stir in cream and serve with the chicken.
