Prepare all ingredients: finely chop the onion and garlic, drain the canned tuna, and grate the Parmesan cheese.
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add the pasta, and cook until al dente according to package directions.
While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, add chopped onion and cook until softened, then add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
Stir in the drained canned tuna, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook for a minute to warm through.
Pour in the heavy cream, season with salt and black pepper, and simmer gently until slightly thickened; loosen with a little pasta cooking water if needed.
Drain the pasta, add it to the pan with the creamy tuna sauce, toss to coat, and finish with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
