Season fresh salmon and asparagus with lemon juice, minced garlic, cooking oil, salt, and black pepper.
Grill the salmon skin-side down or flat-side down for 5 minutes, then turn and grill for 3 minutes more.
Grill the asparagus alongside for 6 minutes, turning once, and serve with the salmon.
