Boil potatoes in salted water for 15 minutes until tender.
Mash the potatoes with butter, milk, salt, and black pepper.
Cook onion and carrot in cooking oil for 5 minutes.
Add green lentils, tomato paste, and vegetable broth, then simmer for 25 minutes.
Spread the lentils in a baking dish, top with potato mash, and bake at 200C / 400F for 15 minutes.
