Gather and measure all ingredients for the meatloaf and glaze.
Preheat oven to 180C/350F. Lightly grease a small loaf pan with butter.
In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, milk, breadcrumbs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and dried thyme. Mix gently until just combined.
Shape the mixture into a small loaf and place it in the prepared pan, pressing lightly to level the top.
In a small bowl, stir together the glaze ketchup, brown sugar, and yellow mustard, then spread evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake for 45–55 minutes, until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches at least 71C/160F.
Let the meatloaf rest for 5–10 minutes, then slice and serve.
