Cut salmon into chunks and slice cabbage, ginger, and garlic.
Sear salmon in cooking oil for 4 minutes, then remove.
Cook cabbage, ginger, and garlic for 6 minutes.
Stir in miso paste, soy sauce, salmon, and black pepper and simmer for 3 minutes.
