Clean the mussels and chop the tomatoes, garlic, and basil.
Boil the spaghetti in salted water for 10 minutes until al dente.
Cook garlic in cooking oil for 1 minute, then add tomatoes and tomato paste and simmer for 8 minutes.
Add mussels, cover, and cook for 5 minutes, then toss with spaghetti, basil, salt, and black pepper.
