
Simple pan-fried white fish fillet for one person.

Pat the white fish fillet dry with paper towels, then season both sides evenly with salt and black pepper.
Place the flour on a plate and lightly coat the fish fillet on both sides, shaking off any excess flour.
Heat the cooking oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
Lay the coated fish fillet in the skillet and pan-fry for 3–4 minutes on the first side until golden brown.
Carefully flip the fish and cook for another 2–3 minutes, until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque in the center.
Transfer the fish to a plate and rest for 1 minute, then serve immediately with lemon on the side.
