Pat scallops dry and trim asparagus.
Boil orzo in salted water for 9 minutes.
Sear scallops in cooking oil for 2 minutes per side, then remove.
Cook asparagus in butter for 4 minutes, then toss with orzo, scallops, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
