Slice the peeled banana into thick rounds or halves and set aside.
Heat a small nonstick pan over low to medium heat and add a small knob of butter, letting it melt and coat the pan.
Add the banana pieces to the pan in a single layer and cook gently, turning occasionally, until warmed through and lightly golden on the edges.
Drizzle honey over the warm banana in the pan and gently toss to coat, letting it bubble briefly without burning.
Transfer the warm banana and sauce to a serving dish, then lightly season with a pinch of salt and, if desired, a small pinch of black pepper before serving.
